Important Election Dates

January 31 – 2024 Annual report due locally in office by 4:00pm.
February 10 – First day to obtain petition packets.
February 18 – First day to secure signatures for nomination petitions.
March 11 – Last day to file nomination petitions.
March 12 – First day to circulate and file nomination papers, nominations Minor Party/Body candidates.
March 19 – Drawing lots for position on ballot – 12:00pm Public Hearing Room Government Center.
March 26 – Last day to withdraw nominating petitions.
March 31 – First day to receive Official Absentee or Mail-In Ballot Applications.
April 8 – Last day for candidates statewide offices, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-primary expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
May 5 – Last day an elector may register to vote or make any changes to their voting record to be eligible for the General Primary (must be received in the office, no postmarks will be accepted) by 4:00pm.
May 9 – Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-primary expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Board of Elections, as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00pm.
May 13 – Last day, under certain conditions, to file applications for Official Absentee or Mail-In Ballot due in the County Board of Elections by 5:00pm.
May 15 – Sample ballots available for inspection.
May 20 – Last day to receive Official Absentee and Mail-In Ballots in County Board of Elections by 8:00pm.
May 20Municipal Primary : 7:00am – 8:00pm
May 21 – First day to register after the Primary.
May 23 – Official Computation begins at 9:00am.
June 6 – At 12:00pm cast lots in case of tie votes…Location Public HearingRoom, Government Center.
June 20 – Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file post-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Board of Elections as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00pm.
August 1 – Last day to circulate and file nomination papers nominating Minor Party/Body candidates.
August 8 – Last day for candidates who have filed nomination papers to withdraw.
August 8 – Last day to file objections to nomination papers.
August 21 – Last day to file substituted nominations.
September 15 – First day to receive Official Absentee or Mail-in Ballot Applications.
September 23 – Last day for candidates for statewide offices, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
October 20 – Last day an elector may register to vote or make change to their voting record to be eligible for the General Election (must be received in the office, no postmarks can be accepted) by 4:00pm.
October 24 – Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or the County Board of Elections, as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00pm
October 28 – Last day, under certain conditions, to file Application for Official Absentee or Mail-In Ballot due in the County board of Elections by 5:00pm.
November 4 – Last day to receive Official Absentee and Mail-In Ballots in County Board of Elections by 8:00pm.
November 4 – General Election : 7:00am – 8:00pm.
November 5 – First day to register after Election.
November 7 – Official Computation starts at 9:00am .
November 21 – At 12:00pm cast lots in case of tie votes… Voter Registration Office.
December 4 – Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file post-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Board of Elections as the case may be, locally office by 4:00pm.
